KENNY HAS A TESTING TIME
STEPHEN KENNY has a hard enough time without being messed around by conflicting coronavirus results.
An unnamed Republic of Ireland player returned a negative result yesterday afternoon – hours after being told he was suffering from Covid-19.
That will lead to an investigation by the FAI, while Brighton striker Aaron Connolly was allowed to meet up again with boss Kenny ahead of the Nations League fixture in Finland tomorrow.
Connolly, along with Norwich’s Adam Idah, was withdrawn from the squad ahead of Thursday night’s Euro 2020 play-off semi-final in Slovakia.
That followed what proved to be a false positive result for a member of the non-football staff.
