STRICTLY Come Dancing judge Shirley Ballas has backe backed our Remembrance Sund Sunday campaign.
The Mir Mirror is aiming to ensure that our fall fallen forces heroes are remembered f for their sacrifice this year, urging people pe to stand on their doorsteps for th the two-minute silence.
As commemorations commem are curtailed by bC Covid-19 id19 restrictions, we are asking the nation to pause in reflection lection outside their homes at 11am 1am on November 8.

“It is important that we e continue to honour the e brave men and women of f our armed forces. On n Remembrance Sunday I will stand on my doorstep to mark the two minutes’ silence.
“We can still come together in a different way to honour those who served in battle and mourn those who have fallen so they are never forgotten.”
The Mirror began the campaign after a historic decision was made to close the wreath-laying ceremony at the Cenotaph in Whitehall to the public for the first time in 100 years. There will also be restrictions on local parades and ceremonies, so most people will be at home.
Earlier this week the Royal British Legion joined political leaders and the head of Britain’s Armed Forces in backing the campaign.
Charles Byrne, director general for the Royal British Legion, said: “This year we are unable to stand side by side, as we usually do, in honour of those who have served on our behalf. “But we can all still play a part in ensuring the t unique contributions of our Armed Forces are not forg forgotten.
“We are joining the Daily M Mirror’s call for people to co come together on Remembrance br Sunday to stand in sile silence at the front door or win window of their home in a fitting tribute to those who have given so much.”
On Saturday, opera star Katherine Jenkins also put her name to the campaign. The singer said: “We should still come together and honour our nation’s veterans this year. I urge everyone to stand on their doorstep on Remembrance Sunday to mark the two minutes’ silence.”
