Kanye waaay-out West

Kanye West has made a last-ditch attempt to convince absolutely anybody to vote for him in next week’s US election.

-

The rapper, 43, gabbled away for more than three hours to Joe Rogan in a controversial podcast this weekend.

Despite appearing on ballots in only 12 states and asking fans to write his name on voting papers elsewhere, he talked about his increasingly bizarre beliefs in conspiracy theories.

As well as discussing the probability that Bob Marley, Prince and Michael Jackson were assassinated, or that governments are trying to poison us by putting fluoride in our water, West went

on to accuse medical staff who treated him during his mental health breakdown in 2016 of “trying to kill a superhero” and thwarting his political plans so “I could not be president”.

Host Rogan failed to challenge Kanye on his more alarming views, which include opening up a global chain of orphanages apparently for any pregnant women who “don’t feel well off enough to bring another life into this world”.

Rogan did press him on what made him want to apply for the role of POTUS, and Kanye said: “I believe my calling is to be the leader of the free world.

“There couldn’t be a better time to put a visionary in the captain’s chair,” he added. “I’m not here to down Trump or down Biden, I’m just here to express why God has called me to take this position.

“I manifest. I see things. I’m a great leader because I listen and I’m empathetic and I feel the entire Earth.”

When he sees the results of the polls, hopefully he’ll be back down to Earth with a bump.
