NHS app fails on warnings

THE “world-beating” NHS Covid-19 app was failing for more than a month to tell people to self-isolate.

Unknown numbers of its 19 million users were not told to quarantine despite contact with an infected person.

Officials have no idea how many people were affected by the gaffe but the Sunday Times reported that it would be in the thousands.

The Health Department said: “The NHS Covid-19 app is deemed ‘excellent’ by international standards.”
