Apart from lonely house pets, few will be champing at the bit for the second national lockdown.
Yet while most of society want to do their best to protect lives, covidiots are already mobilising on Twitter. Living up to their moniker, many are rallying under an interesting hashtag… #Wedonotconcent (sic). According to the Oxford English Dictionary, “concent” is actually a musical term for people singing together harmoniously. The only time “consent” (the word they seemed to be going for) had a second “c” was in the 1500s.
So, there are only two ways their hashtag makes sense.
Either they’re stuck in the dark ages… or, when it comes to prioritising lives, we’re not all singing from the same hymn sheet.
