BILIC: WE’RE A BAGGIE OF NERVES EVERY TIME WE GO BEHIND

- BY DAVE ARMITAGE

SLAVEN BILIC says his winless West Brom side are getting spooked far too easily.

The Baggies boss has accused his players of falling to pieces the moment something goes against them. West Brom take on Fulham tonight with both sides looking to claim their first win and Bilic (right) said: “We started well against Brighton and then the first time they do something it’s like we think ‘Oh, my God, they’re good.’ Next thing you know, we struggle for about 15 minutes. We made it worse with our fear.

“It’s like we shrink a bit and then, because of that, the other side do something again. We can’t allow it to last. We’re doing everything we can to get that first win. There’s no crying about it, you just have to go out there and try to get it.

“We see Fulham as a good opportunity to do that, but they will feel exactly the same way.”

Romaine Sawyers could play a part after being left out for the

Brighton clash, with Bilic urging him to show what he can do.

He said: “We need him to be at his best. I believe in him still, but what I want from him is very simple and he knows that.

“Romaine has to do it on the pitch and and every time in training. He’s a clever player, who thinks a lot.”
