LINCOLN boss Michael Appleton admits he faces a major task lifting his side ahead of tomorrow’s clash with Portsmouth.

A goal just before the break from Doncaster’s Ben Whiteman inflicted the Imps’ second defeat of the season.

And Appleton said: “It might have been a game too far for us. But I hope not because we have got another big game on Tuesday night.”

FLEETWOOD’S Callum Camps has been surprised by his early season scoring form.

The midfielder struck his sixth league goal this term after 45 seconds, before Paddy Madden wrapped up the Cod Army’s win.

He said: “I didn’t expect it to come so early, getting so many goals. I’ve got a good finish, so I always get in and around the box.”
