MANSFIELD

-

NICKY MAYNARD reckons Mansfield are ready to claim a first win of the season at Bolton tomorrow.

The striker said: “This performance means we can go into Tuesday’s game very positive but until we get those three points it is a monkey on our back.”

Maynard put Mansfield ahead before Elijah Adebayo equalised for Walsall.

MICHAEL FLYNN insists there is more to come from his Newport tabletoppers.

He said: “I am not getting carried away – we can still improve. When we are hitting top form consistently it will be harder for me to keep a lid on it.”

Brandon Cooper’s late header secured the win after Will Smith cancelled out Padraig Amond’s opener.

EXETER boss Matt Taylor wants to extend keeper Jokull Andresson’s emergency loan.

The 19-year-old arrived on a week’s stay from Reading, and Taylor said: “Jokull’s done well and I hope they want him to extend the spell and get experience until our other keepers come back.”

Tom Parkes hit Exeter’s winner, while Carlisle’s Gime Toure was sent off on the hour.

SALFORD caretaker Paul Scholes has challenged Ash Hunter to score 15 goals this season.

The striker hit his fourth to wrap up the Ammies win after James Wilson’s opener.

Scholes said: “I’ve said to him he needs to be scoring 14-15 goals.

“He’s got the ability to do it, he’s missed two really good chances so I’m glad he scored.”
