■ Surely if the Government was serious about controllin­g coronaviru­s they would introduce some restrictio­ns on travel by road?

There has been no reduction in the enormous numbers of cars on the motorways of the sort which is needed to prevent the spread of the disease.

A journey by air from say London to Glasgow requires strict adherence to safety precaution­s. The same journey by road can involve multiple stops along the way with numerous opportunit­ies to spread the virus.

■ I am sad that Jeremy Corbyn has been suspended by the Labour Party over the anti-Semitism row. He clearly didn’t move swiftly and strongly enough on this issue but he is not personally anti-Semitic or discrimina­tory. His whole life has been about fighting injustice and human rights – it’s in his DNA. Maybe strong leadership isn’t.

■ Reading Diane Silva’s letter about Princess Diana’s Martin Bashir interview (Your Voice, Oct 29), I was angry at how Charles and Camilla treated her. To me, this documentar­y showed what a weak individual Charles is and, in my opinion, he should never be king.
