KANGAROOS communicate with humans – and it’s all in their eyes.

In tests across Australia marsupials were offered food in closed boxes.

But instead of opening the boxes, they gazed at humans to try to get them to do it instead.

Scientists say the University of Roehampton study challenges the belief this behaviour is limited to domesticated beasts – and shows animals’ attempts to communicate with us are “underestimated”.
