As historic split from Europe looms, nations exchange views

BREXIT is finally down to the wire and the UK’s future outside the European Union is almost upon us. It is a seismic moment in our country’s history – and our ties to our European neighbours are all the more important now.

That’s why the Mirror is proud to have taken part this week in Europe Talks, in partnership with 15 other newspapers and websites across Europe, led by Zeit Online in Germany.

Some 20,000 Europeans signed up for the chat scheme, including 3,670 from the UK. Our matching

algorithm paired 12,000 of these people between countries for a video chat about life, lockdown, Brexit and the coronavirus.
