‘Too good to drop’ is just Potty

- BY IAN WINROW

GRAHAM POTTER has warned his Brighton side cannot afford to think they are too good to be involved in the relegation scrap.

The Seagulls travel to Fulham tonight with just one win in their last 10 league games.

Skipper Lewis Dunk claimed after the weekend defeat to Leicester that Albion have already shown they have the quality not to get dragged into a struggle for survival.

But manager Potter said: “We have to fight for every point in this league. We are one of a few teams that ultimately understands where we sit in the Premier League.

“And if you don’t get the margins your way, then you know you’re going to be in that fight. That’s how it is.

“If you get the margins your way, then maybe that keeps the wolf from the door. But we haven’t been able to do that – that’s what we have to do next.

“But we can’t feel sorry for ourselves.”
