TWO & OUT!

Fury says Joshua will not last three rounds

TYSON FURY claims heavyweight rival Anthony Joshua lacks belief and has promised to knock him out inside two rounds.

Fury says Joshua (right) knows he is not as good as he is hyped up to be because of the safety-first approach he adopted in his last two fights.

The unbeaten WBC heavyweight king feels his rival is vulnerable and has vowed to take him out early when they clash later this year in a £250million super-fight.

“I don’t think he’s as good as people crack him up to be and he doesn’t believe he is himself,” said Fury.

“He has a confidence issue, coming off two shaky performances. Boxing is all about form, who’s in form and who isn’t, and in his last two fights he hasn’t been in form. I have been, so momentum is with me and I just believe I take him out early, very early, maybe even one round or two rounds.”

Fury, 32, laughed off Joshua’s threat to “take his head off his shoulders,” claiming he lacks the guts to try.

“I’ve never seen him take ke anybody’s head off so it’s s probably a lie, another lie,” he said. “We’ll see if he’s got the guts to try and do it when I’m stood d in the ring in front of him.” m.”

The two sides have agreed a two-fight deal with a 50-50 purse split for their first clash for the undisputed world heavyweight title, and 60-40 in favour of the winner for the rematch.

Fury says they must meet now while they are both in in their prime. “They’ve been avoiding me for a long time and now it’s got to happen,” said the Gypsy King. “They either run away from the fight and announce it publicly or they take the fight. Either way it’s a lose-lose situation for him. In boxing you rarely see the best fight the best.

“We waited for the MayweatherPacquiao fight for 10 years. When it fin finally happened, Pacquiao w was past his best. It should h have happened five years earlier. “Hopefully we get to go one-on-one combat w with not only the two best hea heavyweights out there, but two who are in their prime.” Joshua, 31, is confident his WBO mandatory challenger Oleksandr Usyk will step aside. The WBA Super, IBF and WBO champ is mandated to face Usyk next, but believes the unbeaten Ukrainian, his Matchroom stablemate, will first let him face Fury.

“I think Usyk will be keen to step aside and let the fight happen,” said Joshua.
