Hancock’s sharp shock
MATT Hancock arrives at a family doctor’s yesterday morning to herald the rollout of the Oxford vaccine at GP surgeries.
Unfortunately for the Health Secretary, supplies of the vaccine had not shown up.
GP Ammara Hughes, from the Bloomsbury Surgery in Central London, later confirmed delivery had been delayed by 24 hours, adding: “It’s frustrating.”
Shadow Health Secretary Jonathan Ashworth said the no-show was straight out of political comedy The Thick of It.
Several surgeries have rescheduled jabs after supplies failed to appear.
The vaccine finally arrived at the Bloomsbury GPs’ in the afternoon.
