Blood on their hands
MARK Zuckerberg believes he has done American democracy a favour by banning Donald Trump from Facebook and Instagram until he leaves office.
But it’s like telling a drinkdriver who has just killed four people to hand his licence in for a fortnight. Trump used social media to feed lies about a stolen election and his followers used the same platforms to call for a second civil war. Twitter realised it had to act, suspending Trump for 12 hours – leading to the question “what do you need to do to get a 24 hour ban?”
