Thug gave OAP fake jab for £160
A “DISGUSTING” crook jabbed a 92-year-old woman in the arm with a fake Covid-19 vaccine before demanding £160.
The attacker claimed he was from the NHS to get into the frail victim’s home.
He then injected her arm with what she described as a “dart-like implement”.
The victim, of Surbiton, South West London, was told her £160 payment would be reimbursed by the NHS. Her attacker, described as a 5ft 9in, medium build man in his early 30s, first turned up on December 30, before returning on Monday this week to ask for a further £100.
Investigator Det Insp Kevin Ives, of City of London Police, said: “This is a disgusting and totally unacceptable assault.”
It is not known what substance, if any, was given to the victim. She was checked at hospital and has suffered no ill effects.
