Household bills are at a 3-year low
HOUSEHOLD bills have fallen to their cheapest level for three years, analysis reveals.
The average cost of three key bills – energy, home and motor insurance – has fallen by £175 over the past 12 months.
The total for a typical household was £ 2,527, falling from £2,702 in 2019.
A Comparethemarket. com study also found that Londoners pay the most at an average £2,890, while in the South West the average is £2,244.
But households could save £494 if they switch to the cheapest supplier.
Ursula Gibbs, of Comparethemarket. com, said: “The fall in bills is a rare piece of good news, after a bruising 12 months for household finances.”
