SRI LANKA are determined to make amends for their last Test series defeat at home to England.

England swept to a 3-0 series whitewash in Sri Lanka in 2018.

But, in coach Mickey Arthur (left), the Lions now have someone who has enjoyed plenty of success against England during his time in charge of South Africa and Pakistan. Arthur admitted his side will need to “box clever” to cope with a raft of injuries, including to key batsman Dhananjaya de Silva.

But he said: “It’s going to turn a bit and I’m comfortable our guys are a lot more streetwise than they are against the fast, bouncing ball.”
