NUNO’S TIRADE ‘IS OVER’ AS HE RECALLS

NUNO ESPIRITO SANTO says he will stop his fierce criticism of Lee Mason after being hit with a £25,000 fine.

The Wolves boss claimed referee Mason “is not good enough” for the Premier

League after their 2-1 defeat at Burnley last month.

The FA announced this week Nuno (left with Mason) had accepted a charge of improper conduct following a personal hearing, resulting in a hefty fine for his tirade and a warning about his future conduct. Reacting to his punishment, Nuno said: “It is over. On Wednesday we had a hearing, I was fined.

“I got a warning. Persons in that meeting addressed me and told me what I should do. And what I should do is not answer.” Nuno says he will now have no problem should Mason be chosen to officiate another Wolves’ game.

“No, that issue is over,” he insisted.
