MARCO GHIANI
was yesterday hit with a 20-day ban by the British Horseracing Authority.
A BHA disciplinary panel found the in-form Italian, who has ridden six winners since the turn of the year, allowed the Michael Blake-trained Fard to drift right without sufficient correction at Wolverhampton six days before Christmas.
Six days of the ban were deferred for three months and Ghiani, 21, said: “Things have been going really well and I’ll work to make sure this doesn’t happen again.”
