Defining moment for Prince & planet

- RUSSEL MYERS ROYAL EDITOR

AFTER 50 years of campaigning, this ambitious plan to change the way big business thinks and acts could be Prince Charles’s defining moment.

He joked that he was considered “rather dotty” for delivering a stark warning in 1970 on the impact humans were having on the planet.

Few believed the scourge of plastic waste and air pollution that kept him awake at night would turn into his life’s work, some dismissing him as “mad”.

But his desire to hand over a better world to his children and grandchildren spurs him on, and this time, with a little help, he might just crack it.
