Historic 2nd impeachment Donald may pardon himself
ARNOLD Schwarzenegger has called Donald Trump the “worst president ever” and compared his supporters to the Nazis.
The former movie star released a video slamming the MAGA protesters who stormed the Capitol last Wednesday in riots that ended with five dead.
Schwarzenegger, 73, who grew up in Austria just after the Second World War, referenced the Night of Broken Glass in 1938, when Nazi thugs attacked Jewish homes and businesses across Germany.
Arnie – who, like the outgoing President, is a Republican – said: “Wednesday was the Day of Broken Glass right here in the US.
“But the mob did not just shatter the windows of the Capitol.
“They shattered the ideas we took for granted [and] trampled the very principles on which our country was founded.
“He sought a coup by misleading people with lies. Trump is a failed leader. He will go down in history as the worst president ever.”
Trump is today set to become the only President to have impeachment proceedings brought against him twice.
INSURRECTION
Democrats plan to introduce a resolution already backed by more than 190 sponsors paving the way for him to be placed on trial. They intend to bring a single charge of “incitement of insurrection”.
If convicted, Trump would be barred from ever running for the White House again. Vice President Mike Pence has not ruled out using the 25th Amendment to remove his boss, but worries the President could then take action that would risk national security.
It was also reported that Trump had yelled “I am not going to resign” on Friday and is planning another round of pardons – possibly including himself.
A source told the Mirror: “He plans to use the last full week of his presidency to brag about what he has brought to the American people. Sadly much of it is devoid from reality.”
He also plans to give a speech in front of his controversial Mexican border wall.
Trump was banned from Twitter last week. And now Amazon, Apple and Google have booted social media app Parler from platforms after his supporters migrated there sparking an increase in violent content.
