I need £120k to stay alive for wedding

- BY JOE PAGNELLI

A WOMAN whose headaches turned out to be an incurable cancer needs £120,000 for a treatment so she can walk her daughter down the aisle.

Lorraine Wilby, 56, said she’s come to terms that she probably won’t make it to 60 but said she “had to survive” to see her daughter’s wedding day.

She has Ocular Melanoma, an extremely rare form of cancer that affects the eye, but this has now spread to her liver.

The chemosaturation therapy – not available on the NHS – could give her three more years with her daughter Lauren, 22, and grandson Adrian, two.

Lorraine, from Wakefield, West Yorkshire, said: “I need to survive to see her in her dress, I need to see her walk down the aisle.”
