Murder probe as car snatch man run over
A MURDER investigation is under way after a restaurant owner was run over as he tried to stop his car being taken.
Nowab Miah, 53, was delivering a last meal on Friday evening when his vehicle was grabbed.
Mr Miah, 53, was left in the road in Romiley, Stockport, Gtr Manchester. He died in hospital yesterday.
Police are continuing to look for a silver Mercedes.
A 14- year- old boy, arrested on suspicion of robbery, remains in custody. Detectives believe there were others involved and urge witnesses to come forward.
Tributes to Mr Miah have poured in on Facebook, with one friend saying: “He would help anyone. No one had a bad word to say about him.”
