Two dead as screams for help heard & woman held
NEIGHBOURS told yesterday of being woken by screams echoing from a home where two men died.
The pair were found seriously injured at the property and died at the scene, the Metropolitan Police said.
An injur ed woman was detained and taken to hospital for treatment.
Her injuries were described as being not life-threatening.
Kuddus Miah, 44, who lives nearby, said of being woken up by a woman’s cries: “She was
screaming ‘ Help, help, call the police’.
“The police and ambulances were there very quick.”
Another man, his name only as Singh, described seeing a woman “quite hysterical, calling for the police, screaming”.
He added: “She was at the doorstep then went back inside and then out again, screaming and screaming for help.” The Met said a Taser was used during the woman’s arrest.
Neighbour Inamul Hussain, 32, said: “I heard police say ‘Put the knife down’.
“She was screaming somegiving thing about her husband but it was quite broken.”
Mr Miah said he thought those involved in the incident were new tenants, adding: “We’ve lived here around 15 years and it’s a very quiet neighbourhood, it’s shocking.”
The Metropolitan Police confirmed they had been called to a disturbance at an address in Ilford, East London, at just before 4.30am yesterday and had arrested a woman aged 28.

The force said homicide detectives in its Specialist Crime Command had been given details of the incident.
The men’s next of kin had last night not been informed.
