AMAZING ARTWORK

-

A man of many talents, Joseph McAloon from Bristol has contributed to our poetry corner in the past, and today he shows that he’s also a dab hand at art with this collage.

The 63-year-old says: “I have lived most of my life as a disabled person due to having a stroke when I was 17. Then I had another about four years ago. Since stopping work, I have kept myself busy writing poetry and doing art. I attend a group run by the charity Living With Aphasia, which is a communications disability.

“I hope my work shows people that we can all contribute to life, and learn to positively manage our limitations.”

We’re expanding this section to also include amateur snappers. If you would like your photographic work to hang in our gallery, please send us your favourite photo and include your age and address and tell us what inspires you.
