NUNO STAYING STRIKER LIGHT

NUNO ESPIRITO SANTO is under orders to make do and mend – ending Wolves interest in strikers Divock Origi and Olivier Giroud.

The club’s Chinese owners Fosun are not willing to spend heavily again this month.

Nuno was in the market for Liverpool hitman Origi,

Chelsea’s Giroud (below), free agent Diego Costa and even Brazilian Hulk after losing Raul Jimenez to a fractured skull.

Daniel Podence is also facing a spell on the sidelines.

Now Nuno must look for goals from Fabio Silva, Pedro Neto and Patrick

Cutrone, back from a loan spell with Fiorentina. M Midfielder Morgan G Gibbs-White has also r returned from a stint with Swansea. Boss Nuno said: “M “Morgan and Patrick were a big help against Crystal Palace in the cup when they came on. We know what they can do.”
