ALF DOUBLE SINKS DONS
ALFREDO MORELOS struck twice as Rangers beat 10-man Aberdeen 2-1 at Pittodrie to move 22 points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership.
The Colombian striker (above) scored either side of half-time – but Steven Gerrard’s side were given a huge lift on their way to a 15th successive league win when Dons’ Ryan Hedges was sent off on 26 minutes.
The winger brought down Morelos for a penalty that James Tavernier sent wide.
But Morelos put the visitors ahead four minutes later before adding a second five minutes into the second half with Matty Kennedy pulling one back for Derek McInnes’s team.
Gers boss Gerrard said: “I thought we were excellent.”
Meanwhile, Celtic reported one unnamed player tested positive for Covid-19 ahead of tonight’s league clash with Hibernian.
