BIELSA’S AN FA CUP JINX

- BY JOHN CROSS

MARCELO BIELSA admitted he was both “sad and disappointed” after Leeds were on the wrong end of another FA Cup giant-killing.

The Premeir League side were humbled by League Two Crawley, which means that Argentinian Bielsa (above) has yet to win an FA Cup tie in three years at Elland Road.

He said: “The result generates a lot of sadness and disappointment for us.

“They deserved the goals that they scored.

Leeds midfielder Ezgjan Alioski added: “We took the game really seriously and we wanted to win and go on a run so it is disappointing.

“Crawley played the game of their lives, I still can’t believe it. The manager said what he wanted to say. He is sad, and the players are sad.”
