PRINCE Harry is understood to be isolating at home in case he needs to return to the UK to see his ill grandfather.

The Duke of Sussex, locked down in his £11million California mansion with Meghan and son Archie, has made arrangements to fly by private jet and is being kept “regularly informed” of Prince Philip’s condition, a source said. It is understood that if Harry has to return he will be tested before leaving and again when he arrives.

America is set to be added to the “red list” of countries where travellers have to quarantine in hotels.

Royals, however, have special dispensation to travel, so Harry would not have to quarantine as long as he tested negative.

Meghan, understood to be five months pregnant, would have to decide whether it was safe to travel with her husband.

At the end of last year she is believed to have asked for a delay in her High Court privacy trial because of her pregnancy.

A source said: “Harry is of course concerned for his grandfather’s welfare and is being kept regularly informed. He has chosen to stay in in case he is required to return at short notice.”

Latest data on the risk of new variants from the US and Spain will be scrutinised before ministers decide this week if they should go on the red list. Both nations have had local transmission of new variants and are linked to places already subject to travel bans.

MECHANIC Neil Trotter got to trade in his Ford Focus for the likes of a Jaguar and Porsche when he won his fortune.

He said: “Being a Trotter, I knew I’d be a millionaire one day – and I somehow knew I’d win the Lottery.

“I used to tell my dad I’d have a house with a lake, and he’d say, ‘In your dreams, son!’. I had such a strong feeling on the Friday that I’d win, I told the secretary at work.

“Winning allowed me to go back to my first love – racing. And I‘ve the house with a lake.”

Since then he has said it was a “struggle” adjusting to his wealth after buying a mansion in Edenbridge, Kent. But he says the “thrill is back” thanks to racing with UK Motorsport.
