Juror caught reading mag

-

A MAN caught reading Golf Monthly while serving as a juror told a court he was ashamed of himself.

David Barron, 60, was spotted flicking through the “bargain golf clubs for sale” section while on a robbery trial jury.

Barron, of Southampton, admitted contempt of court at the city’s crown court and was fined £150.

He told judge Peter Henry: “I am ashamed, and I am very sorry. I should not have done it. It was very disrespectful.”
