MOISE IS COMING BACK... WHETHER HE’S KEAN OR NOT

- BY DAVID MADDOCK

CARLO ANCELOTTI has insisted he will bring Moise Kean back to Everton in the summer... whether the striker likes it or not!

The Toffees boss explained that he has no plans to pursue a striker when the summer transfer window opens, even though a lack of goals is threatening to derail his European ambitions.

Everton are the lowest scorers of the top 11 in the Premier League but Ancelotti is adamant he has enough firepower in that area. And the Italian says he will look at other positions for the signings he says will happen if his team qualify for

Europe or not.

And he hinted that £25million flop Kean (right, with Richarlison after scoring against Bournemouth last July) – who is on loan at Paris SaintGermain – could still be part of the solution.

“I think that the striker position... I can tell you that it will not be the position we will be looking at.

“Because up front we are really well covered, we have Dominic Calvert-Lewin, we have Richarlison, we have in this moment Joshua King... and we also have Moise Kean coming back.”

Kean (above) has performed well during his loan period at PSG, scoring 17 goals this season, and has publicly stated he wants to remain in France on a permanent deal.

But Ancelotti dismissed such a notion instantly, adding: “I don’t have to convince him to stay – he has to come back.

“He is on loan and he has to come back.

“If Paris Saint-Germain want him they have to open discussions about him.

“We are open about that but if nothing happens then he will be an Everton player next season and an important one.”

Everton desperately need victory over Spurs tonight to keep their European hope alive and Ancelotti is confident his side will deliver even without the injured Calvert-Lewin.

“It is an important game against Tottenham of course, but I think we will be there until the last game,” he added.
