Video shows cop killing boy
DISTURBING footage of an officer shooting dead a boy of 13 in a dark alley has been released by police.
Adam Toledo appears to have his hands in the air when he is gunned down.
At the time Chicago police called the March 29 killing an “armed confrontation”.
But video from body-worn cameras and CCTV appears to show the lad throwing away his gun. Moments later he turns toward officer Eric Stillman with hands raised and is shot in the chest.
In the footage, Stillman can be seen running towards Toledo shouting: “Police, stop right f***ing now.”
Chicago’s mayor called for calm after protests broke out. It follows the police shooting of Duante Wright in Minneapolis on Sunday.
