MCSHANE ADDS TO LEIGH PAIN
Castleford 52 Leigh 16
JOHN DUFFY urged his battered Centurions to keep believing after they crashed to a fourth successive defeat.
He said: “It was a frustrating night but we have got to take it on the chin and stay together.
“We have to get out of this fight we are in. There are no excuses from us.”
Their 16 points made it look slightly better than it was for the Centurions. Make no mistake, this was a thrashing.
Reigning Man of Steel Paul McShane (above) ran rings round Leigh’s haphazard defence, setting up tries for Daniel Smith and Greg Eden.
Cas coach Daryl Powell said: “The game got a bit scrappy but we were electric at times.
“We were great in the first half and pretty solid in the second.”
