NEIL NEEDS NEW ‘RECIPE’

- BY SIMON BIRD

MIDDLESBROUGH boss Neil Warnock has spoken of his frustration at failing to challenge for the play-offs.

Boro host QPR today but their season has fizzled out and Warnock – who was eyeing a ninth promotion – has ordered a “full recipe” of improvements.

Warnock (right) said: “I thought Bournemouth away, Watford at home and Barnsley away would be great tests for us, and believe we should have won every game. To be sat here with one point, and going through the motions until the end of the season, is frustrating and disappointing.

“It’s our own fault for making stupid mistakes in every game and it’s cost us.

“Next season, we must be a lot tighter, not gift teams points they don’t deserve, and take more of our opportunities. The full recipe really.”
