COOP: FIGHT TO THE END

- BY ROB COLE

STEVE COOPER refuses to give up on gatecrashing the Championship’s automatic promotion spots with Swansea City.

The Swans have a seven-point gap to make up on second-placed Watford – the team they play on the last weekend of the season.

Rock-bottom Wycombe visit the Liberty Stadium today and boss Cooper (above) said: “We’ve just got to keep on picking up points.

“There are five games to go and while there is a big gap to second place we will fight all the way to try to close it.

“We are aware of the position we are in and we have to be committed to winning, to our game plan and we mustn’t hide.

“We just have to win games. If the situation doesn’t change for the better then we have to make sure that the situation below us doesn’t get any worse.”

Talking about struggling Wycombe, Cooper added: “They’re not written off by me and my players. We’ll give them 100 per cent respect.”
