GEORGE Michael’s ex-partner Kenny Goss has agreed a deal with the singer’s family after suing for a share of his £98million fortune.

Former art dealer Kenny reportedly claimed he gave up his career to look after the star during their 13-year relationship. He was suing the star’s sister and dad and wanted at least £15,000 a month, according to reports last year.

The Texan was left nothing in the star’s will after his shock death on Christmas Day 2016 aged 53. George’s family were said to be furious with the claim, but have now agreed a settlement to end the battle without a public court fight.

Documents filed at the High Court say the case has been settled on a “confidential” basis, with all sides paying costs.

Kenny and George first met at a Los

Angeles restaurant in 1988 and were a couple for 13 years after getting together in 1996.

George’s partner Fadi Fawaz, 47, who found him dead in bed, and former Wham! bandmate Andrew Ridgeley, 58, were also excluded from the will.

Kenny, 62, was suing under the Inheritance (Provisions for Family and Dependents) Act 1975, which allows those who were financially dependent on someone in life to claim from their estate even if they are cut out of the will.

Sources close to him said he was “effectively a stayat-home husband” almost entirely supported financially by George.

In his claim, Kenny named George’s sisters Melanie and Yioda, and his dad Kyriacos, as defendants to his case, as well as the solicitor representing the estate. But Melanie died aged 59 on Christmas Day 2019, leading to a delay in the case getting to court.

An order signed off by a judge, Master Francesca Kaye, says the terms of the settlement are secret and that copies of the details are held by lawyers.

“All further proceedings in the claim be stayed except for the purpose of carrying the terms of the confidential schedule into effect,” she states.

George’s estate is still making money despite the star’s death.

His recording and music publishing company Nobby’s Hobbies Holding netted £4.3m alone in 2019 which amounts to £11,656 per day.

The festive classic set a new record for the longest time a single has taken to reach No1, after reaching No2 in 1984.

Andrew said: “It is a fitting tribute to George’s songwriting genius and one of which he would have been immensely proud and utterly thrilled.”
