Seamstress puts her shirt on Welsh win

-

A FOOTBALL-LOVING seamstress has covered her house with a giant 25ft Wales shirt for Euro 2020.

Lynne Humphreys-McCrickett, 50, spent days making what she has called “Y Crys Mawr Coch”, meaning “the big red shirt”.

Lynne, of Minllyn, near Dolgellau, Gwynedd, originally made it for Euro 2016 and had to alter the pattern for this year’s tournament.

She said: “When Wales qualified again there was no doubt in remaking the shirt with the new kit colours. It took two days to make the original and a day to do the alterations for the new colours.

“Hopefully we will be enjoying it up to the semi-finals and beyond!”

Wales drew 1-1 in their opening game against Switzerland and take on Turkey in Azerbaijan tomorrow.
