Daughter, 35, in court over mum murder
A WOMAN has appeared in court charged with murdering her mother who was stabbed to death.
The body of 58-year-old Beverley Scott was found at a house on Friday.
Detectives launched an inquiry after a woman, 35, presented herself at a police station.
Cassandra Scott, of Longsight, Manchester, was charged with murder.
The alleged killing took place in the area between March 25 and April 1.
Scott appeared from custody at Manchester magistrates court.
Yesterday, lawyer David Morgan alleged she had an altercation that resulted in her mother “being stabbed multiple times”.
Scott was remanded in custody to appear at the crown court on July 19.
