This is the book club for the nation, hosted by Sara Cox, who, along with a celebrity panel of book lovers, delves into some popular reads.
In this final episode, presenter Ranvir Singh, comedians Reginald D Hunter and Micky Flanagan, and actor and comedian Sophie Willan all bring in their favourite book of all time.
They also chat about a big hitter novel from last year – this time it’s the heartwrenching Shuggie Bain by
Douglas Stuart. And they discuss a newly-published book, The Frequency Of Us by Keith Stuart, a time-tripping tale of lost love.
The whole thing is designed to get people reading and trying books they might not have otherwise picked up – and it works.
Sophie talks up her favourite author, a performance poet, while Ranvir admits to dropping Shuggie in the bath, Micky explains why he’s read everything Irvine Walsh has ever written, and they all reveal which pages they always jump into for comfort.
