WE’LL BE IN A HARRY TO GET IT DONE

- BY JAMES NURSEY

HARRY WILSON admits Wales dare not go to Rome in their final group game needing to beat Italy to progress.

Rob Page’s men kicked off their Group A opener with a 1-1 draw against Switzerland and now face Turkey in Baku tomorrow.

The Dragons then travel 2,000 miles for Sunday’s final group game against an Azzurri side who smashed the Turks 3-0 in their opening match of the finals.

Liverpool midfielder Wilson (above) said: “We got a point in the first game which I think will prove to be a good point.

“I always think the first game of the tournament is a must-not lose.

“We all watched Turkey’s game against Italy which was a difficult game because the Italians looked strong.

“There is definitely more pressure on us in the Turkey game than there would be if we’d won the other day.

“But if we can beat Turkey it would put us in a really good position to progress from the group.

“We all saw what a strong team the Italians look and that is going to be difficult in Rome.

“But if we can go there with four points on the board, it puts us in a fantastic position to get through the group.”

Kieffer Moore rescued Wales against the Swiss with a late header.

And Wilson, 24, knows the Cardiff striker well after spending the season on loan with the Bluebirds.

He added: “If you ask any defender in the world, I don’t think they would want to come out and face him because of what a handful he is.

“He is not just a big targetman. When he plays up front for us at international level he gives us that different

dimension.”
