MAGUIRE STEPPING UP

HARRY MAGUIRE is “progressing well” and increasing his training.

England boss Gareth Southgate has confirmed that Maguire (above, centre) is doing more with each session in the hope of being ready to play in the group stage.

The Manchester United captain has been out for a month since damaging ankle ligaments and is targeting a return for the final group match against Czech Republic next week.

Southgate said: “He’s progressing well, he will train again with a bit more of the group. That is a positive, heading in a good direction.”
