From DAVID ANDERSON in Rome JORGINHO says lifting the Champions League with Chelsea makes him want to win Euro 2020 even more.

Jorginho loved the feeling of being crowned kings of Europe with the Stamford Bridge club in Porto last month and wants to experience lifting silverware again with Italy.

The midfielder says winning in the blue of Chelsea (right) has made him even hungrier to enjoy success in the blue of Italy.

“Winning the Champions League with Chelsea was a wonderful experience, one I will never forget,” he said. “I have even more desire to win and I don’t want to stop now. I want to experience winning more big prizes. I felt certain wonderful emotions in my bones when I won the Champions League and I want to relive them in the blue shirt of Italy, with this wonderful group of fantastic guys.” Jorghino, who cost Chelsea £57million from Napoli in 2018, will anchor Italy’s midfield (above) as they aim to build on their fine start to Euro 2020 against Switzerland in Rome’s Olympic Stadium tomorrow. He joked that his passing may be seen as “dull”, but says he gives Roberto Mancini’s side the platform to play. “My game is made up of passes that try to unhinge the opponent’s defence,” he said. “They may seem dull, but you have to see what happens after that play.”
