BOUNCE THE BLUES

(2.25) hasn’t had the rub of the green since joining Andrew Balding (below) from Irish trainer John Feane last year.

She came from further back than ideal when third behind stablemate Foxtrot Lady and subsequent US Grade 1 winner Althiqa in a Doncaster Group 3 last September before chasing home Cloak Of Spirits in a Newmarket Listed race.

Luck deserted her in a Lingfield Group 3 in May when runner-up behind German raider Axana.

She was stuck in a pocket on the stands’ side and every door that opened was slammed shut in her face.

It was a race she really should have won and then she found herself stuck on the outside when taking on smart Century Dream at Windsor.

When she gets a better passage she is well up to this Group 3 level and the soft conditions won’t be a problem. Have 2pts to win at

BOONIE (3.00) showed a stack of pace when finishing third behind Chipotle in the Windsor

Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot.

This sharper track should suit Kevin Ryan’s youngster and he is drawn near the stands’ side rail. That could easily be a big advantage.

The soft ground is a bit of an unknown but his pedigree offers plenty of hope on that score. Have 1pt to win at 11-1.

Richard Fahey’s hope INTERNATIONALDREAM (5.20) ran one of his best races of last season at this meeting when third in the Group 3 Molecomb Stakes.

He went on to win on easy ground at Ripon and perform well in a brace of Listed races later in the season.

Despite failing to settle in the early stages, he seemed to stay well enough on his first try at 7f in a hot little handicap at Doncaster last time out.

That was his first start since he was gelded so he should improve for that effort. There should be plenty of pace on in the early stages so a high draw shouldn’t be a problem.

Have 2pts each-way at 14-1 with most bookies paying out on five places.
