Soap actor’s mum thanks purse finder
THE mum of Coronation Street star Antony Cotton wept after a Good Samaritan returned her purse.
Enid Dunn, 77, who has appeared in the ITV soap, realised it was missing and was thrilled to find it handed to store staff.
The actress, also in Phoenix Nights and Shameless, wrote on Facebook: “A big thank you to the person who handed in my purse at Aldi in Rawtenstall. I foolishly left it on the packing station.
“There are so many good people yet we only read about the bad. Thank you, thank you, thank you.”
Enid, from Greenmount, near Bury, said later: “I started to cry. My whole life is in it – bus pass, driving licence, bank cards. Even a note from my mum, I’ve had for 45 years.”
