Med student threw acid in doctor’s face
A MEDICAL student may face jail for chucking sulphuric acid in a young doctor’s face.
Milad Rouf attacked Dr Rym Alaoui on her doorstep in May.
She was left screaming in pain and suffered lifechanging injuries to her face and chest.
Dr Alaoui, who is in her 20s, was treated by colleagues at Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton.
Rouf, 25, trained with her at university.
Yesterday he appeared at Lewes crown court and admitted throwing the liquid with intent to maim.
Rouf was remanded in custody and will be sentenced next month.
Judge Christine Laing QC said: “Given the serious nature of the offence I have to consider all options.”
