Murder probe police search for husband
POLICE are searching for a man after the alleged murder of his wife.
Eileen Barrott, 50, was found with serious injuries at her home and died at the scene.
Officers yesterday issued an appeal to trace her husband Mark, 54. They said: “We urgently need to speak to him in connection with the investigation.”
A spokesman added: “Mrs Barrott’s death is being treated as murder.”
The NHS hospital nurse was found at Whinmoor, in Leeds, at around 6.30pm on Sunday.
Police said her husband left the city by train at 1pm that day and arrived in Edinburgh at 4pm.
A friend of mother-oftwo Mrs Barrott said: “She was so kind, a nurse who worked 24 hours a day.”
