JILTED EX JAILED FOR TORCHING LOVE RIVAL
A JILTED killer who set fire to his love rival in a car to make it look like suicide has been jailed.
Mark Chilman, 52, could not cope when he was dumped by Juliet Adock – who he considered his “property” – in June last year.
The “sex-obsessed” handyman waited outside her farm in Bromyard, Herefordshire, Worcester crown court heard. He then tailed her new partner, Neil Parkinson, 66, knocking him out when he got out of his BMW. Chilman, of Pencombe, then put the former company director back in the car, poured petrol on him and lit it. Jailing Chilman for a minimum of 22 years, judge James Burbidge said of his victim: “Mercifully, he would not have known of the immense heat that engulfed him.”
