MODELS: STREET TO CATWALK
BBC1, 10.35pm
You won’t be sure whether to be happy or horrified for wannabe model Jordaine when she gets offered a contract at a top Manchester model agency.
Cameras follow the goings-on at Nemesis as it hunts for a new generation of models, with agency boss Nigel Martin-Smith insisting: “There’s more to modelling than looks and dress sizes.” He wants energy and charisma.
Jordaine has this in bucketloads, but he notes: “She’s a bit big round the bum and she’s not quite tall enough.” He tells her to tone up and she gets the job.
Elsewhere in this compelling doc-series, Hal tries to keep his modelling hopes alive, which means staying out of prison.
Juan tries to regain his confidence after he was slashed across the face in a savage knife attack on a night out in the city.
And Nemesis considers Kyra, a size 18 with skin condition vitiligo hiring her could be a game-changer. You can catch more episodes on BBC iPlayer.
