TOM DELE-BASHIRU is hoping to end 10 months of injury hell by making his Reading debut.

The on-loan Watford midfielder (top right), 21, was on the bench during the Royals’ 2-1 win over Preston on Saturday and is pushing for his first start – against Bristol City tonight – since suffering an ACL injury last October.

Dele-Bashiru said: “It is a great feeling to be playing again. The 10 months when I was out with injury were really difficult, so I’m over the moon to be back. It has taught me many things – about how to recover from setbacks, and how to keep your mental state clear as well.”
